NATB - National Adult Training Board

NATB - National Adult Training Board (NATB/CNFPA) is a tripartite body consisting of representatives of the government, trade unions and employers’ organizations. NATB has a consultative role in the development and promotion of adults’ training, coordinates the authorization of the continuing training providers, the elaboration of the occupational standards and framework curricula, the assessment and certification of the informally acquired competencies.
The Romanian legislation allows the recognition of the competencies acquired in non formal and informal context and CNFPA plays a central role in this process. The former Council for Occupational Standards and Accreditation is now an internal department in the structure of CNFPA.
Recently CNFPA has been designated as National Authority for Qualifications.
Its responsibility will be to develop a common qualifications framework for initial and continuing training, in formal, non formal and informal contexts, and to implement the credit transfer system. In VINEPAC project, CNFPA will be the main contributor to work blocks: Survey report, Elaboration of the list with standards and indicators and Dissemination and evaluation.
