CREA is the Centre for Research in Theories and Practices for Overcoming Inequalities, at the University Barcelona and one of its main objectives is to provide scientific evidence to overcome social exclusion from a social and educational perspective. CREA researches about and seeks to identify approaches to education, methodology and strategies of social and educational intervention to promote equal opportunities for all people to be able to participate actively in all spheres of life. CREA has a wide experience in the main areas of the proposal: validation of knowledge and experience acquired by informal, non-formal learning, and also is experienced in the elaboration of tools for teachers/trainers. One of its research Programmes is about the development and accreditation of basic skills. Concerning the promotion of accreditation of knowledge CREA are experienced, for example, through the participation in the European project APEL. Social Inclusion through APEL. The learner’s perspective. This topic is present in different projects that have been carrying out in order to promote social inclusion. CREA has closely collaborated in different research works with educational organisations and associations both for students and teacher-trainers. CREA will be the coordinator of the work block 2 (Survey report) and main contributor of the Dissemination and evaluation work block. CREA could contribute to disseminate the results of the project among AE organisations (Association of Teachers of Adult Education at regional level AEPA, teachers involved in AE at regional level, regional networks of associations of AE). |
